#Is this thing on?

Welcome to version 2.0 (or maybe 3.0) of my website. After years of leaving my website to languish, I was finally motivated to start technical writing again. I could have used something like Medium or even Dev.to, but I wanted to " own" my content (nothing against those platforms or anyone who uses them, though).

So what has changed besides everything visually? Before, I used Markdown and Jeykll combined with the old GitHub hosting with a custom domain attached to it. It worked, but customizing it was easier said than done for me then. Now the new site is built with the following:

• Laravel (with Folio)
• Alpine.js
• Tailwind CSS
• TailwindUI Template

Huge shout out to the Tailwind UI template, as one of my weak points is visual design. I can make things functional and look decent with basic styling, but the site would only look this good with their resources.

So what is the plan with this new sparkly website? Outside of using it to highlight my various projects and accomplishments, I'd like to start writing again and sharing the knowledge I've acquired over the years. Hopefully, by doing so, I can help even more people learn and grow as I do so.
